The exam didn't go too bad actually, i managed to write nearly 3 pages for the first question and about 2 for the second one, certainly wasnt any worse than my classic cinema exam and i passed that so...hey :). Was supposed to be going to the dry dock tonight to meet up with CPTV guys but stu's just asked me if i want to go to a free gig so im gonna go to that, dont really want a massive loud night. So me krystan bob and stu are gonna head out to watch These Monsters after i've been to Caliente Cafe with luce, a restaurant that purportedly has the "best tex mex this side of the rio grande".

Today i had my first exam of this semester, science in the modern world, i attended probably less than 10% of the lectures for this elective and went to one tutorial, overall i would say the amount of effort i put into this course was pgymy sized at best. I revised from about 9.30 ish on and off, most of this time was spent checking the old myspace, the exam started at 1. Fortunately though it wasn't actually that bad, 5 questions over an hour so you barely had to piss on the paper for each answer, Darwin, Germ Theory, The Atomic Bomb. Not so bad, i look forward to seeing how i do. It's now 4.43 in the morning and i've been up since about midnight, i'm supposed to be preparing for my Modern Cinema exam, effort put into course...just slightly more than pgymy sized. I expect it to be a flaming train wreck of gargantuan proportions. I am still yet to understand why it is that when you are taking course and "forced", so to speak, to learn something; even if its something that you find fascinating, you will always dedicate every fibre in your body to avoiding revision at all costs.

today was my second exam, film studies FS5 on New Waves in Cinema and a case study of La Haine, i don't really know how it went to be honest, i didn't write a lot but what i did i think was okay, to be honest i'm feeling pretty empty about all of my exams, i don't seem to be anxious even though i know i'm probably not going to do all that well, i've let things slip recently and if i'm honest i've not done anywhere near enough revision. fortunately i did well last year so hopefully i won't need as many points to get B's which is what i need to get into Uni. psychology tomorrow and again i just feel numb about the whole thing, not worried, i know i havent done any where near enough revision but i just don't seem to care. oh well some girl told me she was missing off an entire question because she couldnt be arsed doing it so obviously other people don't seem too bothered either. david, the twat, got like 300/300 last year so he has very little to worry about. haven't updated for a while. rich's on saturday was really good, sounds like everyone who stayed had a great time as well, would have been good to stay but me and lucy had fun at home anyway :P.
hmm what else has happened, oh i watched Sin City, at first i thought it was going to be pretty dull, Michael Madsen's acting was uncharacteristically poor but it turned out to be really great, it looks fantastic and the structure of it kept me interested throughout, usually i tend to get a bit bored but because it was 3 or 4 stories within one film by the end of it i felt like i could have easily sat through another half hour or so. tom's having a party on thursday which should be good. then the lux on friday with lucy :) i can't wait to see what the new one is like, i've heard very good things. oh and malia is ridiculously close, it's not even 2 weeks away now, i dont know A) how i'm going to cope with the heat or B) what i'll do without lucy and her husband beating. i'm sure i'll find other things to occupy myself with though, namely getting inhumanly intoxicated.

Eels on friday, one of the best gigs i've been to in a long time, really really super good, hats off to Lucy for introducing them to me and also for letting me have her sisters ticket :P the russian film they showed before it was so cool, this crocodile thing was like the coolest guy on the planet. The whole concert was class but i thought the secret encore was the highlight, they played Prince - I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man and everyone was down at the front really close with the lights on it was sooo good. Lucy had a box social on saturday which was also great, we had some shennanigans with the live porn freeviews they show, very funny. got pretty drunk. overall a bloody good weekend. Only 3 more days of college, i dont know whether to throw up with excitement or poo myself with nervousness, apart from the occasional boring day college has been brilliant, made some great friends and had such a good time. i'm so glad i didnt go to rainford college its not even funny, those people will be social-retards, unable to interact with new people. watched Blade Runner tonight and Man Bites Dog yesterday, both super cool and equally bizzarre, think i shall take advantage of Lucy's vast DVD collection from now on :P
DYNOMITE!

Well today was cool, went to leeds with lucille and davey, he was getting pretty cheeky as usual but i certainly put him in his place, brought him down a notch, you know, bit of the old knuckle sarndwiche. Just got back from town, my god it really is a hole, went with tom and braniac who i havent seen for ages, was good on the bus with tom, got a bit awkward in wetherspoons because i havent seen him in ages but it was cool when bowso got there. then we went to the assembly, argh, its the worst place on the planet, banging tunes and skanky ho's. boo ya. I really can't wait for university now, i'm getting so tired of college i just need a change of scenery , something different. i'm in a bit of a rut, not relationship wise of course, lucy is brilliant :P, just feel bored with college etc. can't believe greg the cheeky twat, i'll get medieval on his ass the next time i see him. anyway i'm so tired i think im going to die. its sleeepy time.

Today has been pretty good, printed off some of my media coursework and it looks fairly snazzy, its no "i smell bacon" though :P. Life is good except for all this work i have, i'm sure i'll get it done its just so much, i really need to stop dossing about and just get down to it, me and lucy have been spending far too much time on msn. last night was no exception, it just drains time like a big fat drain. The weekend was very very good, dannys on friday was great, except lightweight lucy went on a whitey, lol, she just cant take the pace, hehe i felt really sorry for her its horrible when you feel ill after drinking/smoking. And then nardiars on saturday was also cool, the meal was uber nice but it was the tiniest portion i've ever seen, i could have fitted the steak in my urethra. Lunch was fairly eventful, it was take the piss out of david day, i enjoyed it immensely. Leeds accomodation day this weekend, should be good :) i can't wait for university now, its going to be amazing.
( Everyone should make one of these )

Went to liverpool yesterday to take pictures for media because john was being an awkward little fanny and i generally couldnt be bothered going to leeds etc. so instead i took photos of al, ste and jay around liverpool, some of them actually turned out pretty well and media is looking ship shape, just need to finish off the article before lucy comes round, we're gonna watch the rest of badlands i think :) i better get my media finished smartish. we had a nandos yesterday and i generally spent too much money, i've already blown that 30 quid that matt gave me. oh well, live for the moment i guess. looking forward to this bill hicks thing with david and this danny character, again more money though, i need a job. i'm enjoying homogenic david, i've figured out what cd i'm going to copy you as well.

Last night was well good so i'm feeling pretty happy today even though its the bastard media deadline and i haven't even taken my photos yet...i am terriblé, going to Leeds this weekend to get them taken, not sure if i can be arsed going down tonight though i think i'll go tomorrow. Went to watch Brendan Benson with Lucy in manchester and it was just great, HAL were boss but psychid were utter pants, most pretentious band i've ever seen, david would have liked them. I stole a HAL poster and then they were giving them out for free...felt a touch guilty, lol. Then Brendan came on and it was brilliant, he could have played the pledge though, bastard. Oh we had a nandos as well which was boss, i don't wanna sound like a queer or nothing but i think chicken is kick ass. I hope college isn't too shit today.

Today has officially been one of the crappest days ever, i feel well shit, the weathers been crap, i have loads of coursework to do that i'm not even close to finishing and have no motivation to do, also i havent seen lucy today either which is just rubbish. Its also been one of those days where i don't feel like listening to music and everything just irritates me, and those are the worst. The only thing thats cheered me up is a picture that Tom made and put on my myspace, lol, now if thats not tragic i dont know what is. Mental note, ween yourself off myspace its getting to the point of obsession.

Days off college are so satisfying, so far i've listened to Sigur Ros and GSYBE!
bookish_theoric is trying to get me into post-rock, so far it seems his efforts are being rewarded, its pretty brilliant, although i don't think i could listen to it all day. I'm meant to be doing my film studies but we all know thats not going to happen, its been over 4 months since i started it and i've done about 2 pages, genius. Media seems to be going ok, i started it the night before last with about a week to go, it looks pretty professional even though i say so myself. Can't wait for ziggy32s movie marathon its going to be brilliant, watching films with the best people :) in the best room ever, hehe. I think i'm going to bring Badlands as the film i love, its slow burning but hauntingly beautiful and Ferris Bueller's Day Off because i've not seen it and it should provide a bit of light relief, especially if we watch Dancer in the flipping Dark.

Despite being back in college today has been really enjoyable, sitting with Rich and everyone was far more fun than i would have thought, they're kings. Started reading Nick Hornby's 31 Songs in film studies because we were watching Natural Born Killers and i've seen it, so far its really brilliant, he is able to articulate that feeling that you get when you listen to a song you really love, i love reading so much, i just want to read every book thats ever been written that can tell me something new or make me feel like this one did. Just had another rousing argument with david the despot about the artistic merit of the streets, he is yet to see my view point yet it appears i must bow to his, hehe.

Popping the livejournal cherry is a scarier prospect than i first imagined, so many thoughts, such a feeble ability to articulate them. Chez's tonight, i'm knackered and not really up for it but it'll be good to see those crazy cats and the music should be good if nothing else, labour club parties are generally the lamest of lame, but i trust Chezington will have sorted that out, the lot of them being such passionate indie darlings. I seem to have developed an unhealthy obsession with neighbours these days, its entirely Lucy's fault, fortunately the web is full of similar minded individuals and there is no shortage of brilliantly tongue in cheek fan sites, and a fair share of straight ones as well of course. The best rumour i've heard so far is that the mysterious dissapearance of Joe was due to the actor who plays him being an alcoholic peadophile, genius if its made up, disturbing if its true.
